What age groups does your school serve?
Global Children School serves children from 3 months through 6 years, with infant, toddler, preschool, Pre-K, and kindergarten classes.
What is the school’s mission and philosophy?
GCS provides a safe, stimulating, positive environment that supports each child’s physical, emotional, cognitive, creative, and social development through intentional play, discovery, and Early Global Education.
What are the school hours and academic calendar?
GCS operates year-round, Monday through Friday. Hours vary by campus: Woburn and Natick are open 7:00 AM–6:00 PM, and Cambridge is open 8:00 AM–6:00 PM. Enrolled families receive the annual holiday and closure calendar.
How do I apply for enrollment?
Prospective families begin by touring a campus. After the tour, the admissions team provides current availability, application materials, deadlines, and enrollment requirements.
What curriculum does GCS follow?
The GCS curriculum develops the whole child through intentional play, project-based inquiry, multilingual learning, early literacy and mathematics, science, art, music, movement, culture, and social-emotional development.
How is children’s progress assessed?
Teachers use observation, documentation, projects, conversations, portfolios, and developmentally appropriate assessments to understand growth and plan responsive learning experiences.
What enrichment experiences are available?
Programs include visual arts, music, STEM, physical education, language learning, cultural experiences, community events, and age-appropriate field experiences.
How does GCS communicate with families?
Families receive regular updates through direct teacher communication, email, conferences, school communications, and scheduled conversations with educators and administrators.
How does GCS support safety and well-being?
GCS maintains secure entrances, trained staff, supervision practices, health and sanitation procedures, emergency drills, and developmentally appropriate social-emotional support.
How does GCS approach nutrition and physical activity?
Children receive chef-prepared meals and snacks, daily opportunities for movement, outdoor play, and structured physical education appropriate to their age and development.
