Tatyana Martelli, GCS Founder
“Starting Global Children School wasn’t a business decision—it was a personal mission. I wanted to build a space where children could be seen, heard, and raised for the world they’re inheriting.”
Tatyana Martelli, GCS Founder
Tatyana Martelli is the Founder and Executive Director of Global Children School (GCS), a visionary early childhood education model built on trilingual immersion, cultural exploration, and intentional play. Since opening the first location in 2019, Tatyana has grown GCS into a vibrant and impactful school community with three campuses across Massachusetts—including two new locations launched in 2024.
Before entering the field of education, Tatyana was a successful entrepreneur in the retail industry, where she operated multiple independent locations and gained extensive experience in business development, team leadership, and multi-site operations. Her career pivoted when she became a parent and struggled to find a truly multilingual, globally minded learning environment for her child. That challenge became a calling—and GCS was born.
Today, the GCS Model offers a unique educational experience grounded in language, culture, and the science of how young children learn. The flagship campus welcomed 127 students in its first year and operates from a 13,000 sq. ft. facility with 12 vibrant classrooms. Each school reflects Tatyana’s vision for high-quality, globally conscious early education.Tatyana is also the creator of GCS OS—a comprehensive operations and curriculum platform that empowers multilingual and multicultural schools with tools for lesson planning, communication, billing, and compliance. This system is now being used to scale the GCS approach and make it accessible to a wider network of educators.
In addition to serving as CEO, Tatyana remains deeply involved in classroom life and community engagement. She is the founder and host of the Global Children School Parent Club and helps lead seasonal events, workshops, and family programs. She also holds an executive role at Guild Hall Learning, the STEM education hub and makerspace co-founded with her husband, David Martelli.
David Martelli is an innovator in education, technology, and experiential learning, with over two decades of experience designing transformative learning environments and programs that prepare students for the future. There, he pioneered the integration of advanced technology into core curriculum and built a foundation for hands-on STEM learning.
His passion for real-world, project-based education led him to design and operate one of the region’s largest school-based makerspaces—a state-of-the-art facility featuring robotics, engineering, game design, and virtual reality. Hundreds of students have benefited from his unique approach that combines technical rigor with creativity, collaboration, and purpose.
At Global Children School, David ensures that innovation is not an add-on, but a mindset. He works closely with educators to embed engineering, design thinking, and future-ready skills into the learning experience—even for the youngest learners. His belief in the natural capabilities of children drives his work to create tools, spaces, and systems that help them thrive.
David is also a respected speaker and thought leader, frequently invited to speak on the future of education, AI integration, and how to build environments where all learners can flourish.
